  8. Description
  9. Running  Crabs found  a shellfish colony  on your desktop window. These 
  10. little crabs eat the background  and dread the cursor.  I saw a similar 
  11. program the first time on a DMD 5620 Teletype terminal in an article on 
  12. Scientific American in 1985.  The crabs can  walk inoffensively  on the 
  13. Desktop Window behind other window or eat any window they meet. You have
  14. control over crabs with the cursor because crabs dread cursor. 
  15. The program is customizable using the CRABS.INI file.

  17. How to install
  18. To install  Crabs  you must copy it and put the  CRABS.INI file in your 
  19. Windows directory. CRABS.INI contains only the section [crabs]; you can 
  20. modify the following parameters:

  22.     [crabs]
  23.  
  24.     desktop = boolean   TRUE  crabs are on the desktop and walk UNDER 
  25.                   other windows, eating only the background;
  26.                 
  27.             FALSE crabs are on the desktop and walk OVER 
  28.                   any window eating them;
  29.  
  30.     timer = nnn         refresh period, smaller the number, 
  31.             faster the crabs;
  32.  
  33.     crabnumber = nnn    number of crabs on the screen (max 40)
  34.  
  35.     probchangedir = nn  probability (0..100) for a crab to change 
  36.             his walk direction,

  38.  
  39. Crabs is  FreeWare, you can copy, distribute and use it freely. The only 
  40. limitation is to distribute the whole package without modifing it.
